Thomas P. Fogarty

Motorcycle–mounted Officer Thomas P. Fogarty died as a result of injuries sustained in a hit and run vehicle accident that occurred on the Rock Creek Parkway in the vicinity of Beach Drive on August 6, 1941.

He was 52 years old and had 25 years of U. S. Park Police service.

Traffic Kills Policeman, Pedestrian: Motorcycle Officer In Collision With Car; 7 Others Injured In Capital Accidents

Death of a motorcycle policeman and a pedestrian yesterday marked the District's forty-eighth and forty-ninth traffic fatalities of the year, while another motorcycle policeman and six persons were injured in other Washington accidents.
